Who We Are and What We Do
Brown Butter Restaurant is a collaborative effort of it’s founders, Chef Dayne Womax and Simon Beck. We are locally owned and operated and have a combined 50+ years in the restaurant industry. In 2014, the groundwork for Brown Butter was laid out, and in January 2015, we opened our doors. Our food is creative, yet rooted in Southern culture and tradition using the freshest, seasonal, local ingredients that the American South has to offer. Food that is both carefully executed and consistently delicious, served in a cozy atmosphere with prompt and proper service. Our bar boasts delicious signature cocktails, unique wine selections, and a rotating roster of carefully chosen craft beers, with a heavy focus on local brews.
We are Brown Butter Restaurant and our goal is to treat the New Orleans area, not just to the Cajun and Creole cuisine that our area is known for, but rather a culinary experience of our Southern United States. ‘Bible Belt’ cuisine, at its finest. We cover the ‘Low Country’ to the ‘Cajun Country’. Our menus have offerings from all over the South focusing on Southern local ingredients and daily specials. Our menus change season to season to take advantage of the best that our land and sea have to offer.
